Hank Smith (Henry Clay Smith II) – Performing Songwriter, originally from Kentucky.
From March 1977 – Dec 1979, Hank was in the US Air Force Intelligence (in England). In 1980, Hank returned home to Kentucky, and began performing in Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio, Pennsylvania, N. Carolina, S. Carolina, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Missouri, Arkansas, Florida, Michigan, Louisiana and Texas.
In January 1984, Hank moved to Germany (with a guitar in one hand and a suitcase in another)!

While in Germany, Hank also worked in the financial industry and became Chairman, President  & CEO of a US Brokerage Firm, with sales agents located in Europe, the USA and Japan.

Hank performed Live Music all over Germany, with a few concerts in Luxembourg, France, Switzerland, Austria, Holland, Belgium, Italy, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Spain, Monaco, Russia, Ukraine and Romania. Hank also performed with various bands and opened as a solo artist for bands such as Jim Everett Country Band, Tin Pan Alley Blues Band, and more.
From Sept 2001 – Jan 2003 Hank formed the band “Carry On”, with Rudi Braun and Carl Berg.

In 2009, Hank moved from Germany to France (directly on the border of Switzerland, about 10 miles from Basel).
In 2012, Hank sold the US Stockbrokerage company, remarried, and moved back to Kentucky to pursue his music career (play live music – tour, Record new CD’s, possibly get signed with a Label, and get his music into “TV and Films”).
